Minecraft Dungeons: The First DLC is Announced by Microsoft – Release Date and Details

The creators of Minecraft had brought to the gaming world the Minecraft Dungeons role-playing title for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. The new game unfolds the classical Minecraft universe where everything is made of blocks, but this time the adventure becomes even more challenging than before.

Although Minecraft Dungeons was officially released only four days ago, Microsoft already announced its first upcoming DLC.

‘Jungle Awakens’ arrives in July

Those who purchased the Hero Edition will be the ones that will benefit from Minecraft Dungeons’ new stuff. The first two upcoming expansions will be available for these users, and the first DLC is ‘Jungle Awakens’ as Microsoft itself confirmed. The Redmond-based company also said that the first expansion arrives in July, and there’s no need to be the reincarnation of Isaac Newton to guess what awaits for the players along with the ‘Jungle Awakens’ DLC. There’s a map unfolding a jungle, and also three new dungeons that include Leapers, Whisperers, and Poison Quills. The players will even have access to new weapons, armor, and artifacts, as well as encountering new opponents. The developers of the game are saying the following:

In this adventure, you’ll enter a distant, dangerous jungle to fight a mysterious power in three new missions. To defeat the terrors hidden among the vines, you’ll have new weapons, armour, and artifacts at your disposal.

But if you’ve already become addicted to Minecraft Dungeons, it’s worth knowing that a new DLC is on its way for the later part of the year. Its name is Creeping Winter, and we can’t wait to see what it’s made of.

Minecraft Dungeons costs at least $19.99 for the standard mode if you want to download it from the official website of the game. For the Hero Edition that includes the two upcoming DLC’s, two player skins, the base game, and more, you’ll need to pay an extra amount of $10.
