Dragon Ball Super Manga Chapter 61: Vegeta Finally Shines Against a Major Villain and Uses New Powers – Moro Defeated?

If we look back in the history of Dragon Ball, Vegeta has almost always served as a punching bag for major villains. We can remind of Frieza, Cell, Majin Buu, and even characters from the Super anime who were not actually villains: Beerus, Hit, or Jiren. They all had been teaching some manners into the Prince of all Saiyans, and surely the fans wanted much more spotlight for him.

But things change drastically in Vegeta’s favor, along with the upcoming Chapter 61 for Dragon Ball Super Manga. Those who don’t want to be spoiled should not continue reading.

Vegeta’s new technique: Spirit Separation

Veggie went to planet Yardrat to learn some new tricks for defeating Moro, probably the strongest villain in the Dragon Ball history. The inhabitants of the planet are not too strong, but they possess incredible knowledge when it comes to manipulating space and time. They were the ones that taught Goku the Instant Transmission technique after the mighty Saiyan battled Frieza way back in the Dragon Ball Z anime.

When Vegeta comes back from planet Yardrat, he’s totally changed. Not necessarily in brute force, but he now possesses some unique powers. Besides learning the Instant Transmission like Goku, the Saiyan Prince now has the Spirit Separation that he uses on Moro. Even though Moro is stronger, the technique causes him to lose his powers stolen from other fighters. Thus, Moro becomes far weaker and ready to face the wrath of the Saiyan Prince. Vegeta puts Moro on his knees, worthless.

It’s not over ’til it’s over

As in the good tradition of Dragon Ball, things are far from over even when the villain looks like he’s done for the count. Although he’s drained of his powers, Moro savagely eats Shimorekka and 73, becoming fused with them. The outcome is terrifying: Moro becomes once more an imposing character, and stronger than ever.

Youtuber Omnitrix AG – Anime & Game shows us just how Moro looks after the fusion:

Furthermore, after the fusion, Moro now has the ability to copy techniques of his opponents. Goku and Vegeta can be in serious trouble now, as Moro can copy the Instant Transmission, Spirit Separation, Genki Dama, and even the iconic Kamehameha if he needs to. Moro has the ability from 73, and this form should be the last for the major villain of the arc.

How will Moro’s reign end? Will Vegeta manage to finish him in the end or will Goku be the hero once again? Whatever the outcome will be, Vegeta still has the great merit of winning a round against Moro.
