You Can Re-Enable Checkra1n Jailbreak After You Restart Your Phone in No Time; This Is How to Do It

Jailbreaks that are semi-untethered won’t go away, as said by iOS 11’s Electra method, by Chimera for iOS 12 and by the new Checkra1n tool made for iOS 13. It is not as convenient as the fully untethered jailbreak, but the semi-untethered one is quite easy to understand after you get used to all the steps you need to follow. The biggest flaw it has is that you need to kickstart it when your phone powers down or reboots manually. Power cycling disables only the jailbreak and its associated modes, and it is not removed for good. Since the jailbreak is really just chilling in the OS of your iPhone, you simply need to reactivate it in order to make it work again.

First, you need to plug your iPhone and run Checkra1n. This one requires you to connect your iPhone to your computer to reactivate your jailbreak. You need to open the jailbreak tool on your Mac and connect the phone with a USB to a Lightning cable, or a USB-C to a Lightning cable. Wait for it to read your device, then you need to click on Start.

Checkra1n will boot your iPhone into DFU mode. But before it will do so, it will automatically reboot your phone. You need to wait a bit until it enters Recovery mode.

Second, you will get an on-screen instruction to help you in entering the DFU mode. You can do it by yourself if you know how to. But in case you don’t know: Quick press the Volume Up button, then the Volume Down button. Then you need to press and hold the Side button until the screen gets black, then you need to release the side button and quickly press-and-hold both the Side and Volume Down for about 5 seconds. After these 5 seconds, release the side button, but keep pressing the Volume Down button. Keep doing that for another 5 seconds.

For iPhone 7 and 7 Plus

Press and hold the Volume Down and Sleep/Wake buttons until the screen gets black. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for three seconds. Then you need to press and hold on the Volume Down, but do not let go of the Sleep/Wake button. Keep pressing the buttons for about 10 seconds, then let go of the Sleep/Wake button. Hold down the Volume Down button for another 5 seconds.

Third, you need to open Cydia and see if the jailbreak works. The tweaks you’ve applied for like iKeyWi 4 or TinyBarX will work again. Don’t forget to open Cydia to see if the jailbreak works perfectly.

This tool is very good when it comes to restoring your mods. It takes one attempt to kickstart jailbreaks on devices, as seen when people started testing the thing. It was tested on iPhone 8, iPhone SE, iPad Mini 4, iPad 6, all working on iOS 13.2.2.
