Xbox Series X vs PlayStation 5 – Which Next-Gen Console To Buy?

Are you interested in buying an Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5? Go with us through what the co-creator of a game has to say about which console is best to buy and what factors should influence your decisions.

You might be surprised to find out that exclusive games are not such an essential factor. The co-creator says that players are kind of tired of these exclusives. The first factor we look at before buying a console is the cost of it; therefore, exclusives should be the last thing we pay attention too. Next, after the exclusive games factor is followed by graphics and Backward Compatibility.

The below pieces of information are based on Ed Boon, co-creator of Mortal Kombat & Injustice and creative director at NetherRealm Studios, opinion.

Why is the PlayStation 5 And Xbox Series X better off without exclusive games?

Let’s get one thing straight; exclusive games have been around almost since the beginning of gaming. Game companies had to gain a little control back after the video game crash was produced by game publishers being too hasty and loose.

Nowadays, the exclusive games are just a sales tactic. That’s how to console companies try to attract people to buy their product, though the exclusives. It’s a tactic to win more users for its hardware.

However, when we talk about PS5 and Xbox Series X, which are top companies, this move is not really necessary. If there were no elite games for these two companies, they could sell out more products to everyone.

Backward Compatibility

If PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X would support the last-gen software, it could win even more consumers over. This move could definitely be a plus both sides, buyer, and seller.

We think all gamers would be happy to keep their library of games when buying a new console. If the new consoles would offer the same premium versions of the last-gen consoles, it will be a big plus for all users, meaning anyone still using a base version console will be getting an upgrade. Backward Compatibility is essential, and we hope that Sony and Microsoft see that.

So, which one should you buy?

According to the latest reports, PlayStation 5 would be much better than Xbox Series X. Plus, it would also come with more exciting and sought-after games. Accordingly, PlayStation 5 is the logical choice when it comes to next-gen consoles.
