Xbox Series X: The Boot Screen of The Next-Generation Console is Revealed – Video and Details

How would it be if you had the power for each night to dream anything you want? What if you could dream entire decades in just one night? Although it may sound ridiculous to a lot of you, that’s how Microsoft’s next-generation console Xbox Series X is boasting about itself.

Microsoft has revealed the boot screen animation for the long-awaited Xbox Series X console, and it doesn’t bring anything too spectacular:

But the good news doesn’t end here!

Game reveals in July?

Surely the biggest curiosity of people is to see how the games will be running on the next-gen Xbox console. Jerret West, who is head of game marketing at Microsoft, explains to us:

In July, we will dedicate time to focus on the incredible games coming from Xbox Game Studios,

A number of our studio teams are looking forward to sharing first looks at new gameplay, insights from development teams being optimized for Xbox Series X, and brand-new game announcements.

And as we know from previous reports, the upcoming console will also be featuring backward compatibility. Certain Xbox One titles will also be playable on the Xbox Series X.

Specs

As we already know, the Xbox Series X console will be a pretty impressive upgrade for its Xbox One predecessor:

  • CPU: 8x Zen 2 Cores at 3.8GHz (3.6GHz with SMT) 7nm.
  • GPU: 12 TFLOPs, 52 CUs at 1.825GHz, Custom RDNA 2.
  • Memory: 16GB GDDR6.
  • Storage: 1TB custom NVMe SSD.
  • Optical drive: 4K UHD Blu-ray.
  • Ports: HDMI 2.1 output, 3x USB 3.2, networking port, expanded storage slot, power input.
  • 120 fps support.

If everything goes as planned, the Xbox Series X will arrive on the market somewhere around Holiday this year. Amazingly enough, the PlayStation 5 console will also arrive around that date, so you have at least two reasons to prepare a letter to Santa Claus.
