WWE 2K20 will be launched on October 22, but some recent pre-release opinions might influence the players’ game experience. DenkOps Chris Denker, however, a well-known YouTuber, expressed his feelings towards the WWW 2K20. He got disappointed with lots of features such as controls, the core gameplay, the inexistent new matches, the odd graphics, and more. This fact could happen because of the game’s troubled development. Also, Yuke, the long-time developer, didn’t participate this time at WWE 2K20 development, is only handled by 2K studio Visual Concepts. 2K explains that the new version is considered more of a rebirth of the franchise. As the official statement appeared, “Your favorite WWE Superstars, Legends, Hall of Fame, and NXT’s best will join the festivities and celebrate the rebirth of the WWE 2K franchise!” Developers made official the full list of features and updates, too:
- Gameplay improvements;
- Brand-new 2K Showcase centered on the plot of the Four Horsewomen/Women’s Evolution;
- Streamlined controls;
- Return of the 2K Towers;
- Improved MyCAREER with both male and female playable characters;
- Combined Tag Fights;
- Deluxe version online (more bonuses);
For those who will buy the game straight from a physical shop, they will get a Smackdown 20th Anniversary Edition along with a Smackdown ring skirt.
WWE 2K is a series of professional wrestling games developed by Visual Concepts. The sport of professional wrestling is the main inspiration for the game series. Moreover, WWE 2K includes well-built storylines, the wrestling match categories, and playable characters. An interesting fact is that the game was initially based in a Japanese wrestling game called Toukon Retsuden. Both games were developed by Yuke’s. It was announced and publicly confirmed in August 2019, that Yuke’s won’t appear anymore as a developer on WWE 2K20.
