Gaming today is a fun activity done by people of all ages. Whether you are addicted, you’re a professional playing for big prizes in money, or you just use it as a way to get time flowing faster, playing video games is something usual today. Microsoft thought about the importance of video games in the lives of its users, and it’s preparing a feature to help track in-game FPS performance.
The new feature will be part of the Xbox Game Bar, and it’s designed to track in-game framerate performance without the use of any third-party tools, nor in-built frame rate counters.
How to get it
Users who want the new feature will just have to wait for the update for the Xbox Game Bar, which will occur this month. Gamers will have the option to manually trigger the update by visiting the Microsoft Store in Windows 10 and check if there are available any updates.
However, it’s better and more comfortable to simply wait for the automatic update. Once the Xbox Game Bar has been updated, all you have to do in order to see the framerate counter is to press the Windows key and the G key simultaneously.
Microsoft puts it very plainly:
We heard you loud and clear, the Performance overlay needed a framerate counter. With the October 2019 Game Bar update, we’re introducing the highly requested frames per second (FPS) counter to the Performance overlay on Xbox Game Bar,
The counter will appear under the “Performance” section of the overlay, alongside additional options that are implemented there to check the usage of CPU, GPU, and RAM. There will also be displayed framerates from the past 60 seconds in the form of a graph, so that you’ll be able to see how a games’ performance is changing.
With all this being said, are you more eager to play games on PC instead of consoles?
