watchOS 7 public beta guide for Apple Watch owners

On Monday, the 10th, Apple released the first public beta version for the Apple SmartWatch owners. Regular fans can now try out the new watchOS version. Before Monday, only users with developer accounts were able to test the software out. That changed, and now any Apple Watch user can try out the new features.

Before we go ahead and show you the steps to get ahold of the new watchOS 7 public beta version, we need to warn you about an important detail. Once you install the beta software, you won’t be able to go back to the previous version. That means you get frustrated at times as the software is not finished yet. However, the official version will come out this fall, which is not that far away. The next thing you need is to install the iOS 14 public beta on your iPhone. Otherwise, you won’t be able to get the watchOS beta.

Follow the below steps to install the new watchOS 7 public beta:

  • Go to the Apple Beta Software Program website on your iPhone.
  •  Next, you need to sign in with your Apple ID.
  • Tap on the arrow at the top of the page and click on “Enroll Your Devices” on the menu.
  • Tap on the watchOS tab, and then on the “Download profile.”

To activate the software, follow the next steps:

  • Go to Settings > General > Profiles & Device Management and tap on “Install,” and you are done!

The new watchOS 7 version brings lots of new features to the table. Get ready to explore the new Sleep app with sleep tracking and the improved Fitness app. The upgraded Fitness app has four new workouts that you can try out, such as Dance, Functional Strength Training, Core Training, and Cooldown. The new software also comes with multiple new watch faces.

In order to try out the public beta version, you need to be an owner of the Apple Watch Series 3, 4, or 5. You need at least an iPhone 6s or later versions in order to be able to install the software.
