Valorant: The Release Date of the FREE FPS Game was Announced by The Developers

Very soon, the world of the free-to-play FPS (first-person shooter) games will become richer with another title. Namely Valorant, the new game is developed and published by Riot Games. Besides the fact that it’s free, the game has another great part: it features a multiplayer mode, which makes it highly addictive.

Judging by the footage we have until now, we could say that Valorant has the vibe of a modern Counter-Strike. The following video made by YouTuber GameNews for the closed beta version of Valorant’s gameplay is pretty conclusive:

But we don’t have long to wait until we get to see Valorant running on at least one platform, as its developer company Riot Games just announced a release date.

Valorant launches on June 2nd

In a bit more than a week, Valorant launches to the gaming world. As the closed beta ends, Riot Games will start to reset all the accounts attached to the game. This obviously means that those currently playing Valorant will have their stats erased. Here’s what the official webpage of the game has to say:

Shooting in VALORANT is precise, consequential, and highly-lethal – we want you to win on your skill and strategy alone.

Also, the game is expected to focus on the creativity of the players during gameplay:

Imagine this: tactical shooter meets hypernatural powers. Everyone’s got guns and a unique set of abilities, so how do you beat someone with the speed of wind? Use your own moves to outplay them and beat them to the shot. VALORANT is a game for bold strategists who dare to make the unexpected play, because if it wins, it works.

While we knew for a pretty long time that Valorant would be available as a PC version, there’s no clue yet if it launches for other platforms as well. But by taking a good look at most games from nowadays, we can bet that Valorant will also become available for consoles in the near future.
