Rot Games launched Valorant on June 2 for PCs, a free-to-play and fun 5v5 character-based tactical first-person shooter that seems to bring along a Counter-Strike vibe while you play it. But the good news doesn’t end here, as we’re expecting to see the game running also on consoles.
Riot Games, the developer of Valorant, is currently testing a console version for the shooter. Executive producer Anna Donlon revealed it, although she specified that there’s no guarantee that we’ll be able to play the game on a PlayStation or Xbox console. But there’s no objective guarantee for nothing in this world, after all, especially during pandemic times.
Anna Donlon declared:
There’s a way to play this game and there’s a way to experience this game that we’re not entirely sure translates completely to console play,
If we feel like we can deliver this experience on those platforms, we absolutely will. But we really want Valorant to stand for a certain type of gameplay and a certain type of experience.
System requirements
Valorant is not too pretentious at all when it comes to the system requirements. The minimum configuration is as follows:
- Operating System: Windows 7
- RAM: 4 GB
- Graphics Card: Intel HD 3000
- CPU: Intel Core i3-370M
- Space on Hard Disk: 100 GB
As for the recommended configuration, things become a little more demanding, but still nothing absurd:
- Operating System: Windows 10
- RAM: 8 GB
- Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 730
- Valorant CPU: Intel Core i3-4150
- Space on Hard Disk: 120 GB
Valorant has the merit of unfolding to the player a world where supernatural powers meet tactical shooting. The game looks like a futuristic Counter-Strike. All your opponents from Valorant will have a unique set of abilities, so you’ll be free to bring up your own attacks and fight for victory with everything you have. Valorant can be downloaded from Riot’s official website.
