VALORANT Is A New FPS Released By Riot Games, The Devs Behind The Popular League Of Legends

Riot Games has talked about “Project A,” their secret, mysterious first-person tactical shooter game. Its official title will be VALORANT, and it will be a free-to-play game, which will be released in Summer 2020 for PC. We do not know much about it, and we are still waiting for some news, but Riot has managed to give us a bit of insight into the upcoming video game.

All we know so far about VALORANT

We have heard that VALORANT is a 5-on-5 tactical first-person shooter. According to the gaming studio, the teams will fight in a best-of-24 series of gunfights, with attackers vs. defenders. They did not share information about which characters we will play, but Riot stated that the game would come with “a diverse cast of hypernatural, battle-ready agents from real-world cultures and locations, each bringing a set of unique abilities that complement gunplay through tactical information and strategic support, changing the way players approach a situation.”

In a nutshell, every character will have their own unique abilities, but it’s quite unclear what they would look like in action. This game reminds us of a lot of Counter-Strike and other similar FPS games.

More details on Riot Games’ VALORANT FPS

Anna Donlon, the executive producer pf VALORANT, stated the following: “Throughout VALORANT’s development, we wanted to uphold the fundamental values of a competitive tactical shooter: precise shooting, lethal gunplay, and strategic execution.”

The devs added unique character abilities which work great with the gunplay of the game, and this way, they are also expanding the traditional shooter experience, while also adding something new to the genre. We think it is a pretty good idea, and they are doing quite well. They are hoping that, with the launch of VALORANT, they will start a long-term relationship with the fans from all around the globe.
