2019 is almost over, and it has been another good year for the gaming industry. Titles like Apex Legends, Borderlands 3, Disco Elysium, Pokemon Sword and Shield, Call Of Duty: Mobile, Death Stranding, and many others, have gotten gamers glued to their PCs, mobile devices and consoles for countless hours. Yet again, there’s no limit when it comes to quality in gaming, so 2020 is expected to be an even better year in this field.
The Xbox consoles have been among the main platforms to support the leading games from recent years. It’s hard to believe that this will not continue in the near future, especially for the fact that a brand new Xbox console is under the works, and it will be released at the end of 2020. So let’s dive right into it and see what the most exciting games that will be released for Xbox in the next year are:
Darksiders Genesis
Despite the fact that it will be launched on Valentine’s Day, there’s pretty much no room for romantic stuff in this game. The gameplay takes place in apocalyptic landscapes, where you can even take control of some of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse from the Bible. The game also features intense battles, memorable boss fights, exploration, and more.
Except for Xbox consoles, Darksiders Genesis will also be available for PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Google Stadia.
Doom Eternal
This is a game as horrendous as its title sounds. We have been convinced ourselves about this during the E3 event this year, where plenty of pics from the game have been published. The fans have been expecting Doom Eternal to be released in the Fall of 2019, but the launch has been delayed until March 2020. The title will also be available for PC, PS4, and Google Stadia.
If you like to deal with disgusting looking creatures and demons, then Doom Eternal is the game for you.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot
Although we’ve spoken about this game a lot of times before, we just can’t leave it aside from this list. It’s based on the most popular anime of all time, and it promises to recreate the story as accurate as possible. And judging by what we’ve seen until now in the official trailers, we can very easily bet on it. The trailers have revealed Goku’s alliance with Piccolo to beat Raditz, Goku’s transformation into a Super Sayian against Frieza, Cell’s epic defeat by Gohan, and much more.
There are tons of Dragon Ball fighting games out there, but this one promises to bring much more to its fans: sidequests, NPC’s, and a lot more. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will be available not only for Xbox consoles, but also for PS4 and PC. The launch date is January 17.
Grounded
Looking for something a little bit ‘different’ in gaming? Then Grounded might be the right choice for you. Planned to be released in the Spring of 2020 for Xbox and PC, this game brings you in a world where your nightmares become a reality. Ever thought about being forced to battle giant insects in order to survive? That’s exactly what Grounded is proposing to the ones brave enough to play it. You’ll get the chance to fight, craft, explore, build bases, and do whatever you can to avoid being eaten by insects.
