It has been three decades since the last Top Gun movie, and creators are now preparing a brand new one. Top Gun 2: Maverick is on the way, and it will be released this year.

The original Top Gun: Maverick is an American action drama released back in 1986. The sequel will bring Tom Cruise and Kilmer back in their roles. Tom Cruise fans are over the board with the news, and we also can’t wait for the movie’s release.

Top Gun 2: Maverick was supposed to come out in July last year; however, plans changed, and the movie was postponed. The release date moved to June 26, 2020. However, due to the coronavirus outbreak, the movie release was delayed once more until December 2020. But that’s not all. According to the latest information, the second movie will come to the theatres on December 23, 2020.
The news gives me chills. The old group coming back together is a nostalgic moment, and we really do not wish for more delays this time. The tagline “Feel the Need” says it all. I bet all fans are excited about this sequel.

Plot
The plot is about Maverick. He is an aviator with 33 years of experience in the field. As mentioned above, this role belongs to Tom Cruise, who is the main protagonist of the movie. As the film revolves around Maverick’s life, his job is to train the pilots. However, when Bradley Bradshaw comes in the picture with all the problems, he starts to doubt his experience. Part of the action/drama genre, the movie will nicely show how Maverick will confront his fears.
Storyline
Unfortunately, we don’t have much information regarding the storyline of the Top Gun 2: Maverick. However, the rumor has it the storyline will revolve around the relationship between the human pilots and pilotless drones.
Captain Pete Maverick’s job is to train the new generation of US Navy Pilots. As mentioned above, the captain will confront his past, and fighting your past is definitely not easy. This will show how going on a dangerous mission will alter his life. The mission will put him in a difficult position where he will need to risk his life. Tom Cruise will portray a righteous character who will do his very best to ensure human pilots’ value. Fighting for the right cause is always filled with lots of obstacles, and captain Maverick will just show us how it really is.
