The Reason Why Cyberpunk 2077 Will Launch On PS5 And Xbox Series X

The Cyberpunk 2077 video game was developed for the PS4 console. However, developer CD Projekt Red decided to leave it for the next-gen console due to its top performance. As the developer stated: “the game was always designed for PS4 and Xbox One. Players will be able to enjoy the game on the upcoming PS5 and Xbox Series X. Better console, better game experience!”

PlayStation 5 is going to arrive on the market soon; however, Sony has not promoted its upcoming console so far. What we do know about the next-gen PS5 is a few specifications regarding the hardware, but even this information is based on the leaks.

The leaks have started to come out a couple of months ago, but they don’t include the games lineup. Sony hasn’t made any comments on the upcoming game lineup, either. It looks like developers are trying to keep it a secret, avoiding the topic.

As for the upcoming game lineup, Hermen Hulst, the PlayStation Worldwide Studios boss, has shared with the public that the Worldwide Studios developers will create outstanding games for the next-gen PS5 console.

“We’re very committed to dedicated hardware, as we were before. We’re gonna continue to do that. And we’re very committed to quality exclusives. And too strong narrative-driven, single-player games,” said Hulst.

“At the same time, we’re going to be very open to experimentation, to new ideas. Just trying things out to see what works. I think that’s also very much part of the DNA of Worldwide Studios,” he added.

We trust Hulst to pick up the games that will offer the gamers the best game experience. He used to work at Guerrilla as a managing director just last year. Now he works for PlayStation Worldwide Studios, which means we are on good hands. Single-player games are his strong point, and we can’t wait to see what Cyberpunk 2077 will deliver us.
