Not much have passed after the arrival of The Terminator in Mortal Kombat 11. But even so, a brand new Terminator game is expected to hit the market by the end of the year. It will be available for PC’s, but also for the traditional consoles: PS4 and Xbox One. The game’s story is a prequel for the first legendary movie released 35 years ago, in 1984.
Usually, when you see “Terminator,” one single name comes to mind: Arnold Schwarzenegger. And the big question is if we’re going to see the notorious Austrian actor in the game or not. We’ve seen him in a recent Mortal Kombat 11 DLC, so our hopes remain for another appearance. Unfortunately, all we know for sure is that the player will have the task of controlling Jacob Rivers, who is a soldier in the human resistance led by John Connor against Skynet’s robotic killing machines.
The trailer, however, looks awesome and promising:
At least the soundtrack remastered from the original one sounds very addictive. It just sticks into your brain without any intention to leave.
Terminator: Resistance is confirmed by the developers to be releasing on November 15 in Europe and Australia, and on December 10 in North America. The game’s story will be related only to the first movie of the series, and it will have multiple possible endings. It depends a lot on what decisions the player will be making, which isn’t at all a new idea in video games.
Another Terminator movie is coming
Terminator: Dark Fate is also expected to arrive somewhere near the release of the video game, and they have some things in common. Both are ignoring the story of the Terminator movies after the second one – Terminator: Judgement Day. In Dark Fate, we will get the opportunity to see Schwarzenegger again at 72-years-old, being scary and willing to punish his opponents.
Let’s hope that one other thing that Terminator: Resistance will have in common with Terminator: Dark Fate will be the presence of the beloved actor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
