Some iPhone Users Should Update TODAY, or Lose Wi-Fi and 4G Support

Apple has done a great job with its hardware stores, and the founder Steve Jobs is one of the greatest masterminds regarding the IT industry. Even so, shortcomings sometimes occur, and if you don’t update your devices, you will experience some great disadvantages. It’s also the case for those who own an iPhone 5 model and are clinging to the old version of iOS instead of updating the operating system to the 10.3.4 version. Today, November 3, is the deadline.

Not updating the operating system for your iPhone 5 will result in losing the Wi-Fi and 4G Support. And no Internet means no iCloud backup and storage, no web browsing, no social media apps, no GPS, no video streaming, no verifying emails, no App Store, and so on. That means practically everything for a phone these days.

Apple warned us

The notorious company from Cupertino (California) has already warned its users about the urgency of updating the OS for iPhone 5. Apple even provided full-screen alerts that are popping up on the targeted displays, and they sound like this:

Action required for iPhone 5

Update to iOS 10.3.4 before November 3, 2019 to continue using App Store, iCloud, email, web, and other services.

If the update to iPhone 5 is not completed by November 3, 2019, you will be required to back up and restore using a Mac or PC in order to update because over-the-air software updates and iCloud Backup will not work.

There you have it, crystal clear. Below the message, you even have a big button that says “Update Now”, so you won’t have to go through all that annoying process of trying to find the option by yourself. Therefore, users should appreciate the effort of a company so big like Apple to practically implore its users to make the right update on a 7-years-old phone. Hopefully, no-one will remain without Internet.
