There’s no wonder why more and more phones nowadays are coming with a foldable design. Technology is constantly evolving, and renowned manufacturers like Samsung, Motorola, or Huawei have all been releasing foldable devices. Although we can consider these devices as phones, they’re actually more like both tablets and phones simultaneously.
Now it’s Royole’s turn to show the world again that a new foldable phone is on the way. Royole is a Chinese company that already released a foldable mobile device, but now it’s preparing to bring the second one. Therefore, the company will release the FlexPai 2 model pretty soon, and it already informed us enough about it.
5G Support
It’s 2020, and mobile devices are just craving for featuring 5G capability. It’s also the case for Royole’s upcoming FlexPai 2 foldable phone, one that promises “significant improvements in every possible way”.
If we take a look at the rest of the specs, we’ll understand easily why Royale is so optimistic about their upcoming phone. The gadget is powered by the newest Snapdragon 865 chipset, a Kyro 585 processor, high-speed LPDDR5 RAM, and a huge screen of 7.8 inches. Unfortunately, there’s no info available for the camera yet, other than the fact that there will be a quad setup on the rear.
Royole released one of the first foldable phones
You may think that Samsung did it first because their Galaxy Fold gadget was way more promoted. Actually, Royole released during CES 2019 the FlexPai model, which was one of the first foldable devices that had characteristics of both smartphones and tablets.
We also have to admit that Royole’s first foldable phone had weaker specifications than those present on Samsung’s or Huawei’s similar gadgets. But no matter who released first a foldable phone, the important thing is that slowly the design of the smartphone of the future is looming. 5G support and foldable design seem to become new standards among smartphones slowly.
