Pokemon Sword and Shield Receives A New Character From The Pokemon Series

Every day we hear more and more about Pokemon games. Just recently it was all about Mewtwo Max Raid Battles, and now, the company has announced that a brand new Pokemon will make its appearance in Pokemon Sword and Shield, which is more powerful, that does not like to play.

A new character comes to Pokemon Sword and Shield

The Pokemon YouTube channel has revealed this new Pokemon from the series, called Zarude, the Rogue Monkey Pokemon. Imagine a creature with red eyes, and vines around its wrists, with a skull-face, and a Dark/Grass typing. Zarude shares this dual typing with Shiftry, Nuzleaf, and Cacturne – theoretically, these are Grass/Dark-types.

As per the trailer we have all seen, the ability of Zarude is Leaf Guard. It helps it protect itself against status effects during sunny weather. More than that, the video description comes with a short blurb about the Pokemon. We are talking about Zarude’s Pokedex entry: “When fighting, it swings around using trees and their branches, attacking relentlessly with its sharp claws or any other means it has. Its quick wit helps it excel in battles.”

More about Pokemon Sword and Shield

There is not much we can say about the video besides the info presented above. But we have heard that Zarude will come with a signature attack, and also tips on how to catch it. The trailer promised us more info coming soon.
