Rumors about the upcoming iPhone SE 2 have been around for quite a while, but nobody knows for sure when Apple will release it. An analyst named Ming-Chi Kuo suggested that iPhone SE 2 will be launched on the market during the spring of 2020.
The fans are hyped and have been demanding a nice design with no home button, but it looks like Apple wants something else. The design will resemble a lot iPhone 8, and there will be a physical home button as well.
iPhone SE 2 will be a budget smartphone
Ming-Chi Kuo revealed plenty of interesting aspects iPhone SE 2 will have, and the phone will be pretty affordable. It will have only 3 GB of RAM but a powerful A13 processor.
Speaking of similarity with iPhone 8, the iPhone SE 2 will have a 4.7-inch display, and you will be able to unlock it with your fingerprint.
The camera is poor
As for a low budget smartphone, the camera is pretty poor – no multiple camera setup at the back, but only one lens. But that should be enough if you don’t want some super cool looking photos with every detail from somebody’s skin being highlighted. And yes, for many people that is enough.
Price
Although we know nothing about the price, we can speculate a bit. The predecessor of iPhone SE 2 had a starting price of 399$, and it was released in March 2016. It looks pretty “ancient” if we compare it to nowadays flagships: only 2 GB of RAM, 12 MP for the primary camera, 1.2 MP for the front camera, A9 chipset, a fingerprint sensor, and that should be all the main features. If you can sometimes take decent looking photos with 12 MP, nobody wants to capture anything with only 1.2 MP.
I guess it’s safe to assume that the price for iPhone SE 2 will exceed 500$. Only time will tell for sure and we’ll have to wait until early 2020.
