Apple launches iPhone 12 in October if nothing gets in the way. The upcoming model of iPhone will be Apple’s flagship for 2020. Recent leaks about the phone are not so pleasing, but there’s still strong evidence that the gadget will surpass pretty much any other smartphone from the market.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who is a reliable leakster, informed the public recently that two of the upcoming models of the iPhone 12 lineup (namely the 5.4- and 6.1-inch models) are equipped with pretty fragile cameras. The coating of the wide-angle cameras can crack while the new iPhones are exposed to high-heat stress testing.
CPU and GPU boosts of 40% and 50%, respectively
Each device from the iPhone 12 lineup will be packed with the next-gen A14 processor made by Apple, which will grant even higher processing speeds than the A13 Bionic chipset. The industry insider Komiya reveals something even more impressive about Apple’s upcoming A14 chipset – the processor will offer CPU and GPU boosts of 40% and 50%, respectively. This will indeed revolutionize the world of smartphones. Komiya made the big announcement on Twitter two days ago, and he already gathered an impressive number of likes and comments:
Komiya represents a reliable source who, as he says himself, offers leaks about Apple, computer graphics, and more. There’s no word about the price for iPhone 12 from Apple yet, but we can make the fair assumption that a unit will value at least $800.
Apple usually launches its flagships in September, but it will be different with iPhone 12 due to reasons you’ve already guessed. Luca Maestri, the CFO of Apple, also says that there would be a delay regarding the launch for the 2020 flagship iPhone. Maestri also reveals that the supply will become “available a few weeks later [than usual].”. This means that the iPhone 12 lineup will be released most-likely during early October.
