The unc0ver jailbreak app is a pretty handy tool, therefore it’s now available for more devices. Developers updated the app since last month in order to be functional for people owning Apple’s devices equipped with the A12 or A12X chips. It has been released on Sunday in the form of a beta version which provides full support for A12-equipped devices.
Among users who will have the opportunity to delight themselves with iOS 12.4 unc0ver jailbreak, there are the ones owning at least one of these devices: iPhone XS, XS Max, XR, 2018 11-inch iPad Pro, 2019 iPad mini, 2019 iPad Air and 2019 9-inch iPad Pro. But the good news doesn’t end here: the latest version of the unc0ver jailbreak also installs Cydia and tweak injection for these devices and fixes bugs previously reported in other versions of the app.
Where to download it from
iOS 12.4 unc0ver jailbreak can be downloaded from https://unc0ver.dev/ , which is the official source for getting the tool. Another way to download the tool is by accessing Pwn20wned’s Gitthub repository, here: https://github.com/pwn20wndstuff/Undecimus/releases
The announcement about the updated iOS 12.4 unc0ver jailbreak tool was tweeted by Hacker Pwn20wnd, and it’s called 3.7.0~b1. He also ran some tests to see if the tool works well, along with other people who tweeted their results. They all were pleased by what unc0ver jailbreak can do, and some even reported that the tool didn’t fail even once in the first few days of testing.
For those unfamiliar with the term “jailbreak” when it comes to iOS: it means bypassing the restrictions Apple puts on the operating system, in order to take full control of the device. With a jailbroken device, you can install apps and tweaks that aren’t authorized by Apple, but you also remove the tough security protections that Apple has built into iOS.
