Huawei has been hard at work in recent months, and the renowned electronics manufacturer plans to unleash a new range of Nova smartphones in the form of the Nova 6 and Nova 6 5G.
The new devices could be released after Honor V30 arrives on the market in December in China. Some rumors infer that it may be released in India in 2020 with the favorite timeframe being February when Huawei could also announce other devices. While the launch date remains a mystery, for now, some details were leaked on the internet.
A reliable source published a render of the Nova 6 5G, which seems to be authentic. The stylish smartphone is encased in a beautiful glass layer that shields a gradient finish. A punch-hole dual-camera setup is present on the front of the device, which is a great improvement in comparison to the previous iterations. The punch-hole is located on the upper-left side of the screen, close to the edge of the panel.
Slim and shiny
The device sports thin bezels on all the sides, with a narrow chin being visible on the bottom. On the rear of the device, users will find an interesting camera setup as the sensors are arranged in a straight line, which is positioned vertically on the upper-left area. One of the sensors will be an advanced laser autofocus or 3D Time of Flight sensor which can enhance many images.
The power and volume buttons can be found on the right edge, and they’re a no traces of a visible fingerprint sensor, a trait which infers that an in-display solution could be used. Support for 5G is a definite plus as the new standard starts to spreads across the world.
Specs
The specs of the device remain elusive, but Huawei may use the Kirin 990 5G SoC. More details could surface in the future.
