How To Flash Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro

Phones can always catch bugs, and files can get corrupted. In these cases, you can reset your phone to its factory settings. However, in some cases, there’s no way to deal with it unless you flash it. If you flash a smartphone, you install the correct firmware on your device.
We have written this article to help you understand the entire process better and how to flash Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro. But before you do so, try to reset it through the options under factory reset if you’re encountering problems with the software.

The flash file helps you in regaining access to a bricked phone. It can also help you in upgrading or reinstalling a stock firmware – the operating system on your phone.

You need to prepare your smartphone first

You need to make sure that you have the required software and drivers already installed on your computer. You also need to make sure that the USB wire that you’re going to use is original to get the best connection. The USB port does not need to be loose. You should have your device charged at 60% before you start the process. Don’t forget to do a backup before you begin the process.

So how can you flash Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro

The process is straightforward. You need to download and extract the Xiaomi MiFlash Tool on your computer. Then, extract the zip file. You will see Manual and an MSI file. You need to double click on the MSI file to install the Driver and Firmware.

Now you need to go to the Driver folder and install the Xiaomi USB driver on your computer. After the process is done, shut down the phone. Now you need to boot your phone in Download mode, which is also known as the fast boot mode. To start it, you need to press and hold the Power + Volume down button for 6-8 seconds. After it starts this process, you will be able to see a different screen that will have someone “repairing” the Android.

Now you need to connect your phone to the computer with the USB cable. Then, open Xiaomi MiFlash Tool from the Start Menu. After the software is opened, select the firmware. You can do so by clicking on Select. Then, you need to click the Flash button that’s placed on the right top side. The process will take a few minutes. After it is done, you will get the message “Success,” written in front of the process window. Then you will need to disconnect the phone from the computer, then start it. The firmware is now on your smartphone.

Why should you flash your phone?

If you are facing any issue with the software, or you have a file there that is corrupted, this will solve your problem. You can also regain access to the bricked phone, which happened because of a software failure. By doing this, you can also remove any malware that’s causing lag on your Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro device.
