The gaming world seems to become a more enjoyable realm every year, and the highlights for 2020 are the upcoming next-generation consoles PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. But not so fast, NVIDIA would say, as the company officially announced its RTX 3000 graphics cards. However, the main rival AMD cannot possibly fall short as well, and it’s proposing the Radeon 6000 video cards.
AMD is teasing the arrival of its Radeon RX 6000 GPU series in a unique matter: by revealing an Easter egg inside the insanely-popular game Fortnite. Gina Darling is among the people noticing it while she was visiting AMD’s Battle Arena in Fortnite.
Hey @AMDGaming @AMDRyzen @AMD @sherkelman. Found this on Fortnite. What does it mean? pic.twitter.com/C3cpOTx8DU
— GINA DARLING (@MissGinaDarling) September 4, 2020
She accessed a secret AMD Radeon room where there’s a special console. She previously entered a phone booth, and her character got transported. If you still think that it’s pure speculation, keep in mind that Gina entered the number ‘6000’, and the room showcased the text “Something Big Is Coming to the AMD Battle Arena.”
16GB of VRAM
According to leaks from @coreteks, AMD’s upcoming video cards will feature impressive power at affordable prices:
“They [AMD] want to release the 16GB at $599 and the 8GB at $499 but after the Ampere announcement I’m expecting $549 for the 16GB and $499 for the 8GB. We’re receiving the ASIC (GPU + MEM) this month [September]” – AMD partner
As for NVIDIA’s upcoming video cards RTX 3090 and RTX 3080, both of them are supposed to be very powerful as well, reaching 24GB of GDDR6X memory. With such gears from either NVIDIA or AMD, high-end gaming at maximum graphical settings should never be a problem. Or if you intend to use such cards for tasks like video-editing or programming for sophisticated apps, there shouldn’t be any problem at all.
To complete a great year in gaming (arguably the best in history), Sony and Microsoft will bring the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles by the end of the year.
