Halo: Combat Evolved Finally Arrives on PC

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary took fans by storm with a surprise release on Tuesday for Windows PC through Microsoft Store, Steam, and Xbox Game Pass for PC. The game is the successor of the praised Halo: Reach, which we witnessed its launch back in 2019, as part of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Other installments from the Halo franchise are Halo 2: Anniversary, hALO 3: ODST, Halo 3, and Halo 4. The upcoming games are expected to arrive before the end of 2020.

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Features

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary is, besides a long-waited game, a remastered variant of the original game, which lets players switch between a classic game graphics experience and a whole new, improved alternative. As sleek as it might sound, this is not the only feature Halo received. Devs also announced that the game would arrive with 4K UHD support on PC, and it’ll run at 60 frames/second.

It is also available to buy it as part of Master Chief Collection on the Steam and Microsoft Store for only $39,99. Or you can get it quickly via the Xbox Game Pass for PC. But, there is another option, too. If you’re interested only in Halo: CE Anniversary, you can purchase it individually for $9,99! The same offer is available for Halo: Reach, as well.

More From the Halo Universe

As for Halo: Reach, the game got not the planned launch everybody’s expected it. It was released back in December 2019, and it came with some annoying issues. But, since then, 343 Industries announced that all the audio and stuttering problems had been solved.

Later, the installment received quite the upgrade, a new progression system for unlocking items. Halo’s next game in the series will be Halo: Infinite and is scheduled to arrive soon this year. In the meantime, we look forward to the Halo: Combat Evolved release on PC.
