Every single day, we hear something about the impending release of the upcoming game from the Grand Theft Auto universe.
The latest information to fuel the rumors is an advertisement published by Rockstar North, the developer’s UK unit. The ad is listed for a “Technical Build Engineer.” Even though there is no actual mention of GTA 6, some words can be interpreted as hints.
The ad
Here is the text of the ad:
“At Rockstar Games, we create the games we would want to play ourselves.
A career at Rockstar is about being part of a team working on some of the most creatively rewarding, large-scale projects to be found in any entertainment medium.”
After a short briefing, the text continues with:
“Rockstar North is on the lookout for a talented Technical Build Engineer who possesses a passion for supporting and improving the workflows of the team. This is a full-time permanent position based out of Rockstar’s unique game development studio in the heart of Edinburgh.”
The hints
The words “large-scale projects” and “builds should be stable on release” might suggest that, as in the case of GTA 5 and other Rockstar games, Rockstar North will have a significant contribution to the development of the upcoming game as well.
The fact that the developer is searching for a technical hand to manage a stable build is solid proof that GTA 6 is ready and that the company will start running tests for a possible release.
