GTA 6 Back in Full Production? What The CEO of Take-Two Interactive Says

The wait for Grand Theft Auto fans to see another game available in their favorite series seems unbearable. They’re waiting for seven years, as the latest title of the franchise (namely GTA 5) was first released in 2013 for the Xbox 360 console. The game also arrived as a PC version two years later.

We know from Rockstar insiders that the highly-anticipated GTA 6 is under the works, but there was no telling just how deeply the developers were involved.

GTA 6 is likely in full production

Quotes from Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Take-Two Interactive (owner of both Rockstar and 2K), are bringing some great news:

While the internet is loaded with rumors and speculations about GTA 6, the fans had been competing against each other with expressing both demands and assumptions for the major upcoming GTA title. They’re hoping for more enterable buildings, more customizable options for the protagonist character, an even more diversified map, and many more. But unfortunately, the fans might have to wait even longer for GTA 6 to become available to the public finally.

GTA 6 launching after 2023

Tom Henderson, who’s a reliable leaker, says he can’t see any announcement for GTA 6 coming before April 2023 at the earliest. He said:

How do creators and websites milk GTA 6 “leaks”?

The truth is… We’re still a couple of years away from an announcement. I can’t see the announcement coming until fiscal 2023 at the earliest.

While GTA V was the first game of its series that featured three protagonist characters, all hints point to a similar scenario for GTA 6 as well. Trevor, Michael, and Franklin were all very interesting characters, and it will be thrilling to see if Rockstar can come up with characters that are just as exciting.
