Google’s famous Play Store is the home for numerous apps and games, but also for other types of content like wallpapers, e-books, and many more. The TikTok app is among the various files offered by the official marketplace for Android, as it was released for the mobile operating system back in 2016.
But you know what they say that all things must come to an end. It’s also the case for TikTok. India banned 59 apps from China, including TikTok. The accusation was that the apps had been stealing data and sending it to servers outside of India.
TikTok OUT from Play Store and App Store in India
The outcome was impending – The Android and iOS versions of TikTok had been removed from both Google’s Play Store and Apple’s App Store.

If you’re a hardcore TikTok fan, remember that you are still free to use it on your phone if you have installed it before the ban. However, the app can still be downloaded from the Play Store and the App Store if you’re living outside of India. To take into account what the TikTok app has to offer, an official description says:
TikTok is THE destination for mobile videos. On TikTok, short-form videos are exciting, spontaneous, and genuine. Whether you’re a sports fanatic, a pet enthusiast, or just looking for a laugh, there’s something for everyone on TikTok. All you have to do is watch, engage with what you like, skip what you don’t, and you’ll find an endless stream of short videos that feel personalized just for you. From your morning coffee to your afternoon errands, TikTok has the videos that are guaranteed to make your day.
Luckily for us or not, there are also numerous other apps that are capable of short-form videos and other related stuff.
