Google fires important Employees for Policy Violations

While most people might believe that being hired at a huge company like Google can all be fine and dandy for anyone, things are not actually like that. Any company has its pretentious offerings, and they all want to obtain as much profit as possible.

Google has recently fired four employees, including software engineers. It seems that nobody should mess with Google’s policies, and that’s why the employees have been fired. They have been accused of violations of the company’s policies around sharing internal documents and calendars.

The official reasoning stated the following:

To the contrary, our thorough investigation found the individuals were involved in systematic searches for other employees’ materials and work,

This includes searching for, accessing, and distributing business information outside the scope of their jobs.

200 people protested

The fired employees have some support from other citizens. Rebecca Rivers and Laurence Berland are among the fired employees, two software engineers at the center of a rally. To manifest their disapproval for Google’s decision to fire the two workers, 200 people appeared for the rally on Friday outside the San Francisco offices for protesting.

Instead, the Security and Investigations Team of Google insisted that the huge tech company from Mountain View didn’t fire those people for simply taking a peek at documents and calendars during their work schedule. They might have been involved in searches for other employees’ materials and work, according to a memo about their activity.

More strict rules will apply

Google plans to ensure much more strict rules for its employees after the recent leaks, so that such things will not happen again in the future. This includes what information the workers will be discussing, including those regarding sensitive projects. In this area we can consider the collaboration with the Defense Department and some attempts to craft products for China.
