Chrome is already the most popular browser on mobile devices alongside Safari, according to DeviceAtlas, the industry standard for real-time device detection in all connected environments, including the web, mobile networks and native apps. But Google wants to improve its browser even more. That’s why the enormous corporation from Mountain View decided to release the new 77.0.3865.92 update.
Stability and performance improvements
Beeing released about a week ago, Google’s new update for Chrome brings stability and performance improvements for devices having an Android operating system. Although the target for the 77.0.3865.92 update is the Android 10.0 (Q, API 29), you need to have at least Android 4.4 (Kitkat, API 19) running on your mobile device in order for the update to have effect.
More updates coming soon for Chrome on mobile devices
The programmers from Google seem to be very active recently when it comes to the Chrome browser, since in the near future we can expect to see a major upgrade for the mobile version of Chrome. We will have the ability to handle multiple tabs with much more ease and tab sharing among devices will drastically improve as well.
Google is today 21 years old
That’s right, today September 27th is Google’s Birthday! Therefore, perhaps the new updates for the mobile version of Chrome are somehow a self-giving present. Such updates can bring even more people to start using Google’s services, and more notoriety means more money.
Larry Page and Sergey Brin founded Google in 1998, at first just as an online search engine and with an investment of just $100.000. Today Google is perhaps the richest company on the planet, having 103,459 employees as reported for the first quarter of 2019 and providing many web services like blog hosting, email, GPS-like maps, YouTube, the Android operating system for mobile devices, cloud computing, advertising technologies, the browser, the search engine and so on.
