FIFA 21 is Coming – Who Will be The Cover Star of The Game? See our Top Proposals

If all goes according to the plan, EA SPORTS will release the sequel for FIFA 20 this year in September – namely FIFA 21, the game is expected to be an even greater game than FIFA 20. As for any FIFA title, the upcoming one will have updated rosters according to the teams in real life, as well as a great footballer at its cover. But who will be the lucky fellow that will become FIFA 21’s icon?

Surely there are plenty of names that deserve such prestige to appear on the cover of the upcoming football simulation game, and we’ll try to find out in this article who will actually be the chosen one.

Kylian Mbappé

At only 21 years old, this guy is already World Champion with France. He scored 13 goals in 34 matches for his National Team, and he was even among the top goalscorers of the tournament. Mbappe can play as both a right-winger and as a main striker. He has an unlimited thirst for scoring. In 120 matches ever played for his club Paris-Saint Germain, this boy scored 90 goals and provided 49 assists.

We think Kylian Mbappe has extremely high chances of being the front cover for FIFA 21.

Neymar

Being a scoring machine even since he was playing for the Brazilian club Santos and Real Madrid and Barcelona were fighting for his signature, Neymar is the key-player of the Brazilian National Team. After four glorious seasons spent at Barcelona (105 goals and 77 assists in 186 matches), Neymar moved to Paris Saint Germain, where he scored 69 goals and 39 assists in only 80 matches. It’s not an exaggeration at all to have two footballers in this list from the French Champion club.

Neymar is a true beast in the field, and one of the best footballers Brazil has ever given to the world.

Mohamed Salah

This Egyptian footballer has been Liverpool’s most spectacular striker in the recent years. More known as a right-winger, Salah wasn’t so delighting at other clubs from his career such as AS Roma, FC Basel, or Chelsea. But at Liverpool he was unleashed, becoming a terrifying opponent for any defender. He has been one of the best goal scorers in all competitions for Liverpool, as his overall numbers for this team are mind-blowing: 91 goals and 37 assists in 144 matches. Mo Salah is also a regular scorer for his National Team, Egypt: 41 goals in 67 matches since his debut in 2011.

Mohamed Salah is great, and he doesn’t hesitate one bit to prove it.

Lionel Messi

We just can’t rule out the legendary Lionel Messi from this list, although he has already been on the cover of the FIFA game series several times. He is the captain of both his Argentinian National Team and his club FC Barcelona. He has been playing his whole career at the Legendary Spanish club since 2004. That’s a jaw-dropping career of 16 years, and the longevity is not the most incredible part. Messi is a regular scorer in all competitions, accumulating 627 goals and 261 assists for Barcelona. He also scored 70 goals in 138 matches for Argentina, since his debut in 2005.

Messi won pretty much everything in his career except a World Cup, although he was pretty close in the 2014 final against Germany. Argentina lost with 1-0 that match, but the South Americans dominated the Germans in most part of the game. However, Lionel Messi has won 4 Champions League trophies, 6 ‘Ballon d’Or’ awards, 10 Spanish Championships, 6 Spanish Cups, and much more.

The decision of EA SPORTS will surely be very difficult when it comes to putting the right player on its FIFA 21 cover. There are so many fantastic footballers in the world that we haven’t include in the list, but we can give some honorable mentions to Kevin De Bruyne, Antoine Griezmann, Luis Suarez, Toni Kroos, Virgil Van Dijk, and many more. Our bet is that Neymar will be the chosen one by EA SPORTS to be the star cover of FIFA 21. He’s a natural born goal scorer, and he has been the most constant from the list along with Messi. But while the Argentinian superstar had the privilege several times to appear on the FIFA cover, it should be Neymar’s turn.

Would you propose some other player?
