As we have all noticed before, the developers of the Dragon Ball Z Kakarot game sure know how to tease the fans. We’ve seen already footage of the fierceful fights against Majin Buu, of the battle with Raditz, of Goku turning into a Super Sayian 3, of the fusion between Goku and Vegeta, of the epic Kamehameha clash between Gohan and Cell, and so on.
Now we have to focus our attention on the epic battle between Goku and Vegeta, back when the evil Sayian prince came to Earth to destroy it along with his henchman Nappa. Goku taught Nappa a lesson and had beaten him up very well, after the Z warriors had a very hard time fighting the evil sayian and some of them even died (Yamcha, Piccolo, Tien, and Chiadzou). The next match had to be none other than Goku vs Vegeta, which you can see recreated in a stunning 4K video from the upcoming game:
In the original anime, Vegeta got his butt kicked very badly and he had no other option but to leave Earth while he was severely injured. Goku showed Vegeta great mercy in the end by not letting Krillin to kill him while he had the perfect opportunity. This is one of the most beautiful moments of Dragon Ball Z, when Goku says that everyone deserves a second chance, and thus he decides to spare Vegeta’s life. It’s one decision that could cost Goku, and it’s very interesting to see if the developers of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will speculate that somehow in the game.
Release date
Dragon Ball Z Kakarot will be released next year on January 17 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Unfortunately or not, the game doesn’t include any characters from Dragon Ball Super like Jiren, Beerus, Whis, Goku Black or Zamasu.
