Dragon Ball Z Kakarot already made a lot of Dragon Ball fans happy since its release in January, and now they have yet another reason to cling to the game. The first DLC is arriving through the Season Pass tomorrow, April 28, and it’s called ‘A New Power Awakens – Part 1’.
The first DLC of Dragon Ball Z Kakarot brings both Goku and Vegeta the Super Saiyan God form. As we know from the anime and the 2018 movie with Broly (which yes, it is canon), the transformation means a tremendous increase in power for the fighter using it.
Beerus also arrives in the game
Beerus is none other than the terrifying God of Destruction from the Dragon Ball Super anime, and he’s the one Goku had to use the Super Saiyan God form against. While our hero was at his Super Saiyan 3 transformation, he couldn’t land a single blow to Beerus, and he was extremely easily defeated by the God of Destruction. While upgrading to the Super Saiyan God form, Goku could compete with Beerus and put up a good fight. Therefore, it’s obvious how insanely strong the new form is compared to the older ones, and it’s exciting to see who could compete with Goku in the game at this rate.
Only by battling Beerus in Dragon Ball Z Kakarot players will be able to achieve the Super Saiyan God form after the update arrives tomorrow.
Fight with everything you got
Beerus will be at level 250, and the player won’t have access anymore to all of his usual items, so except gaining the Super Saiyan God form to be a very challenging thing. Hara Ryousuke, who is the game’s producer, said it firmly:
Beerus is so strong, my clear rate for this battle is 1 out of 10!
Judging by the ‘Part 1’ from the name of the new update for the game, we can expect another DLC to come pretty soon. The most justified bet seems to be on the developers bringing the Super Saiyan Blue transformations as well for Goku and Vegeta, and maybe even Golden Frieza. But only time will tell for sure.
