Dragon Ball FighterZ is a massive success, and hardcore players even have the chance of battling against each other in organized competitions with big prizes involved. At two years since the release by Bandai Namco, the fighting Dragon Ball game is still receiving updates, and this will not change anytime soon.
Now, the Season 3 update has arrived, or you can call it the version 1.21. The publisher of the game itself revealed the patch notes, and we can conclude for ourselves that plenty of new content is arriving:
Super Saiyan Goku
It’s fair to start with probably the most important Dragon Ball character. Goku in this form receives plenty of improvements, and among them is that the grounded follow-up version of the Kamehameha wave becomes easier to use. But let’s dive into more detail.
Crouching Medium Attack
• Increased the moved distance during the attack.
• Increased the active frames of the attack.
• Increased recovery time.
• Start-up slowed down.
Standing Special Attack
• The blowback was adjusted.
Warp Kamehameha
• Sped up the start-up when the enemy is getting damaged.
Kamehameha (Grounded Diagonal Version)
• More damage.
• Reduced recovery time.
• Reduced the active frames of the attack.
Vegeta
The heavy version of Vegeta’s Crushing Knee Kick is now stronger! Also, fighting techniques in the air became more effective.
Crouching Medium Attack
• Increased the distance moved while the attack occurs.
• Increased the active frames of the attack.
• Increased recovery time.
• Slowed down the start-up.
Standing Special Attack
• Adjusted the blowback
Super Dash Kick
• The number of jumps available is reduced no more when the grounded version is canceled.
Crushing Knee Kick (Heavy)
• Will occur behind the opponent and follow up on a hit.
• Will cause a ground bounce during the camera shift.
Big Bang Attack (Medium + Heavy)
• The blowback was adjusted for the mid-air version.
These are just some of the new stuff Season 3 is bringing to Dragon Ball FighterZ. Plenty of characters are receiving improvements, like Piccolo, Teen Gohan, Adult Gohan, Android 18, Super Broly, Captain Gyniu, Frieza, Nappa, Android 16, and much more.
