Airline companies allow a maximum of 100 wHr battery capacity. And Apple is flaunting its MacBook Pro 16-inch because of this very reason. The company says that its premium laptop is featuring a 100 wHr battery. However, when you look more closely, you will see that they are just rounding up the battery capacity.
Battery differences
We can see that clearly with the new MSI Creator 15. This laptop one-ups Apple by 0.1 wHr. Therefore MacBook Pro 16-inch battery capacity is just 99.9 wHr.
This actually makes sense. The company tries to avoid situations such as the Galaxy Note 7 failure. Therefore, fitting an almost maximum large battery in a thin laptop is a great idea. The outcome of their decision is safer.
As for the 100 wHr battery claims, here is the most important aspect right from Apple.com:
If the one-upping battery size has already convinced you to buy this product, you need to hold onto that. At the moment, MSI’s Creator 15 pricing is not available.
Creator 15 vs. MacBook Pro 16 size
However, compared to MSI Creator 15, MacBook Pro 16 is still slimmer and weightless. The former features 14.1 x 9.8 x 0.7 to 0.8 inches and weighs 4.6 pounds. On the other hand, the Apple device measures 14.1 x 9.7 x 0.6 inches and 4.3 pounds weight. Plus, the screen size difference makes the MacBook Pro 16 more attractive.
Creator 15 vs. MacBook Pro 16 specs
According to MSI.com, the Creator 15 features up to 10th Gen Core i7 CPUs. The laptop comes in two variants. The first version is a Full HD (1920 x 1080-pixel). The second option is an Ultra HD (3840 x 2160-pixel) screen.
Creator 15 beats the Apple laptop in these two categories as well. MacBook Pro 16 comes with Core i9 and a 3072 x 1920 screen.
