The newly discovered bug is not allowing players to secure their XP. This bug is creating problems on both Modern Warfare and the stand-alone game, Warzone. The bug was dubbed ‘zero XP’ by the game’s developers, and it prevents players from collecting experience points (XP). That means that players are unable to climb the rank or claim their rewards.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Update Brings a Bug Affecting the XP
Here are a few reported issues on Reddit: “I just played 3 rounds without earning any XP for my character or my battle pass. Are you serious about this? I pay for the Battle Pass, and you give me nothing and a buggy game in return?” complained a user.
“Whatever got messed up on the back end of this update needs to be fixed. By the time I wait 10 minutes for a lobby to connect, I can’t get any XP, and if I’m about to, I CTD before the XP is even awarded. This is absolutely horrendous, and they need to figure this out. When do we as players start to get reimbursements for our time and frustration?” another user posted on Reddit.
Users have taken this issue on other websites as well, such as Reddit, Twitter, and the Activision Blog. Many fans are disappointed about this issue, and all their hard work is going to waste. However, this bug was not reported on the Trello board of Infinity Ward yet. But, we do hope that this Call of Duty: Modern Warfare XP problem will be acknowledged by the developer team very soon. Hopefully, this issue will be fixed soon.
