Being the best at Clash of Clans means a lot of hours of playing. When you’re a beginner, the road seems to be so far away. We’re here to give you some tips on how to play Clash of Clans if you’re at the beginning of the road.
Keep your gems
When you first start playing the game, make sure you keep your gems. Don’t spend them in the early or middle stages of the game. Don’s spend them on buying resources, or to speed up time. This game won’t give you enough gems, and you might need them later.
Farm gems whenever you can
They won’t give you many gems, but you can earn them for free sometimes. You get the highest number of gems when you complete achievements. You can also win some gems when you open gem boxes, or when you remove obstacles.
When to use shields
Shields represent a timer that will prevent you from being attacked for a certain amount of time. You get a shield for three days when you start playing, a 12 to 16-hour shield when you get attacked – it really depends on your base and how much of it gets destroyed – and a one day, 2 or 7-day shield if you get it by spending gems. If you are shielded, and you try to attack a player, you will lose it.
Know when to attack
In this game, it is essential to know when and where to attack. After you put your unit in a particular place, you cannot control it anymore. Most of the units – goblins, barbarians, and archers – will go to the building that’s closer to them and start destroying it. Make sure you take a look at how much gold or elixir the target has before you place your unit.
