The executive producer of Larian Studios is going to share with us more details regarding the upcoming Baldur’s Gate 3 video game. His name is David Walgrave, and this article is about a few questions he answered in a game press interview.
Baldur’s Gate 3 was initially developed under Black Isle Studios, but back in 2003, the game got canceled due to a financial crisis. The good news is that we are going to play the game very soon and I must say; I am very curious about what it has to bring out.
As the game is revived, what aspects are we going to see in the upcoming game from its original version? Walgrave said that the Baldur’s Gate 3 would keep a few aspects from the original version of the game.
Baldur’s Gate 3 details
Some of the features from the original Baldur’s Gate series are the party and the tadpole. The tadpole will be in your head, and you will have to choose between using it or not. This feature is similar to turning into a Bhaalspawn.
According to Walgrave, most of his team played Baldur’s Gate 1 and 2 to develop the game better, so it is nice to hear about their love and dedication for the upcoming game. He also said that they are working closely with the Wizards of the Coast when about setting up the game, like the ruleset and boundaries. The relationship between them is excellent, and it looks like they are on the same line.
The release date of Baldur’s Gate 3
An old crazy feature that will be added into the game is Mind Flayer, so we are excited to see how that will work out with an actual tadpole in our heads. And the cool thing is that this feature will be somehow included in the Forgotten Realms and 5th Edition.
The executive producer also says that the upcoming Baldur’s Gate 3 doesn’t have a setup launch date yet. However, it will enter Steam Early Access soon this year, and it will also release on Google Stadia.
