20 Free Games Available at The PlayStation 5 Launch Instead of 18

Sony is launching the PlayStation 5 console in just about two weeks, and the event will practically mean a revolution in the gaming industry. The next-generation console’s hardware is significantly superior to one of the PlayStation 4 consoles, and there’s already a multitude of games confirmed to be running on PS5.

Those who will become PlayStation 5 owners and unbox their new console will get a number of PS4 classics that are known as the PlayStation Plus Collection. Although Sony initially announced a number of 18 games available at launch for PS5, the manufacturer now updates the list to 20 titles.

Here’s the full list of the 20 games:

First-party:

  • Bloodborne
  • Days Gone
  • Detroit: Become Human
  • God of War
  • Infamous Second Son
  • Ratchet and Clank
  • The Last Guardian
  • The Last of Us Remastered
  • Until Dawn
  • Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

Third-party:

  • Batman: Arkham Knight
  • Battlefield 1
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Zombies Chronicles Edition
  • Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
  • Fallout 4
  • Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition
  • Monster Hunter: World
  • Mortal Kombat X
  • Persona 5
  • Resident Evil 7 biohazard

PlayStation 5 specifications

Here are the specifications for the next-generation console, and we have to point out from the start their superiority compared to the previous PlayStation 4 console:

  • CPU: AMD Zen 2-based CPU with 8 cores at 3.5GHz (variable frequency)
  • GPU: 10.28 TFLOPs, 36 CUs at 2.23GHz (variable frequency)
  • GPU architecture: Custom RDNA 2
  • Memory interface: 16GB GDDR6 / 256-bit
  • Memory bandwidth: 448GB/s
  • IO throughput: 5.5GB/s (raw), typical 8-9GB/s (compressed)
  • Expandable storage: NVMe SSD slot
  • External storage: USB HDD support (PS4 games only)
  • Optical drive: 4K UHD Blu-ray drive

With a whole new architecture, faster storage thanks to the SSD, and superior resolution support, the PS5 console is announced to be the world’s fastest console and a better option than the good old PS4 in almost every way. Sony’s upcoming gaming machine arrives in stores on November 12, and you can buy it for $500.
